Role Overview

Delivery - Medicines & Supplies at NMC Healthcare. The role ensures timely and safe delivery of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies to customers and healthcare facilities.

Role Purpose

To ensure the timely and safe delivery of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies to customers and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Delivery

• Work in all shifts as scheduled by the Head of Department.
• Carry out other duties when requested by the Head of Department.

Compliance & Safety

• Strictly adhere to the organization's regulations and policies, especially those related to infection control, patient safety, OSHMS, SHA, JCI and ISO.
• Familiarize yourself with and comply with all OSH and Infection Control policies, standards and procedures relevant to the workplace.
• Work in accordance with documented occupational, safety and health procedures and instructions, specifically basic OSH rules for safe cargo handling and road transport.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems and follow safe working procedures.
• Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Not wilfully or recklessly endanger anyone's health and safety.
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety of persons that may be affected by your acts or omissions at the workplace.
• Assist with the preparation of risk assessments.
• Attend applicable safety training and follow OSHMS policies and procedures.
• Take reasonable care of your own health and safety.
• Cooperate with Pharmacy with respect to any action taken by NMCRH Sharjah to comply with OSHMS requirements.

Quality & Training

• Support Continuous Quality Improvement and participate in all quality assurance activities of the service.
• Participate in scheduled in-service training programs.

Communication & Professionalism

• Maintain confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
• Demonstrate the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
• Exercise effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and Management.
• Develop thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures and demonstrate respect for them.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid UAE driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of the local road network and routes within the UAE.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry medical supplies as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical products.
