Role Overview
Delivery Captain - Khobar at Chalhoub Group. This position is based in Khobar and reports to the Logistics Distribution Department.

Role Purpose
The Delivery Captain is responsible for delivering customer orders and collecting returns with care and on a timely basis within an appointed region, ensuring safe delivery of goods and complying with all operational, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Operations
- Deliver orders daily to wholesale and retail outlets.
- Execute last mile customer delivery.
- Collect orders from shops for last mile delivery.
- Perform shop-to-shop transfers.
- Check orders before delivery.
- Comply strictly with assigned route and schedule.
Returns and Collections
- Collect returns to warehouse as assigned.
- Collect necessary documents from shops during return.
- Collect cash from ecom COD customers and handover as per procedure.
- Collect payment using credit card machine for COD ecom customers.
Vehicle Management
- Ensure goods are safely secured in vehicle.
- Load and unload the vehicle.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean inside and out.
- Report all maintenance issues.
- Ensure company vehicle is used exclusively for company business only.
Route and Operations
- Take the quickest route to destination.
- Complete all processes in Fareye.
- Receive all operating instructions via the Logistics Distribution Department.
Safety and Compliance
- Report all incidents, occasions of misplaced or lost packages to Logistics Distribution Department.
- Report any accidents at first possible instant.
- Strictly adhere to all traffic and road safety regulations.
- Ensure workplace health, safety and environment requirements as per OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 are met.
- Take responsibility for security of building and stock.
- Immediately report any breach in procedures, company policy or security to supervisor or management.
Quality and Process Management
- Work within, promote and identify improvements in company's Quality Management System as per ISO 9001 standards.
- Strictly follow, develop and improve standard processes, procedures and work instructions.
- Promote adherence to procedures by staff.
- Report all incidents of any nature and however caused to immediate superior, completing all necessary documentation promptly and accurately.
- Always research to improve all warehouse operations according to company's objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid driving license.
- Previous experience in delivery or a similar role is preferred.
- Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic communication and customer service skills.
- Basic English is preferred.
