COST ACCOUNTANT

Role Overview

Cost Accountant at Napco National.

Role Purpose

Monitor, analyze, and report on production costs and operational metrics to support decision-making and control expenditures across the organization. Prepare accurate cost analyses and recommendations to drive efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs.
• Report and analyze operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs.
• Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
• Apprortion costs between units of production and management.

Planning & Estimation

• Prepare estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
• Recommend cost efficiencies in new product layouts.

Data Management

• Monitor, collect, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Gather and analyze data, respond to complex situations, and develop innovative solutions that add value.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in using both national and foreign languages, spoken and written.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational and planning skills to manage work and project activities efficiently and achieve short- and long-term objectives.
• Ability to effectively use standard equipment, office automation systems, software, and related accounting systems and ERP.
• Ability to understand the not-for-profit business environment, objectives, and apply internal policies and procedures effectively.
• Skilled in gathering and analyzing data, responding to complex situations, and developing innovative solutions.
