COST ACCOUNTANT

Role Overview

Cost Accountant at Napco National.

Role Purpose

Monitor, collect, and analyze cost data from multiple sources to support decision-making across the organization. Prepare accurate reports comparing actual costs to standards, identify cost efficiencies, and provide insights to control expenditures and optimize product and service pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs.
• Report and analyze operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs.
• Prepare estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
• Recommend cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
• Apportion costs between units of production and management.
• Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.

Data Management

• Monitor, collect, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Gather and analyze data and respond to complex situations.

Organizational Support

• Develop innovative solutions that add value to the organization.
• Apply internal policies and procedures effectively.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in standard equipment, office automation systems, software, and related accounting systems and ERP.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in using both national and foreign languages, spoken and written.
• Strong organizational and planning skills to manage work and project activities efficiently and achieve short- and long-term objectives.
• Ability to understand the organizational business environment and objectives.
