Role Overview
Coordinator - Restaurant Events at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
Company Overview
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027, located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
Role Purpose
The Coordinator - Restaurant Events supports the Restaurant Events Department by managing administrative operations, coordinating private dining and group events, and facilitating communication between guests, internal teams, and senior leadership to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Correspondence
- Manage incoming correspondence, including emails and phone enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Restaurant Events Department and Director, including document preparation, reporting, and general departmental coordination.
- Coordinate calendars, meeting schedules, and appointments for the Director of Restaurant Events.
- Prepare and update monthly reports and track key administrative and operational data for management review.
Event Coordination
- Coordinate day-to-day event administration, including handling enquiries, scheduling site inspections, organizing menu tastings, preparing proposals and BEO's, and distributing BEO's.
- Maintain accurate records of private dining offerings, including capacity charts, floor plans, and buyout guidelines.
Operational Support & Guest Management
- Support event execution by liaising with operational teams, monitoring service flow, and ensuring guest requirements are communicated clearly.
- Escalate operational issues, complex guest requests, or service concerns to the appropriate senior team member in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Events Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2β3 years of experience in restaurant events, group dining operations, or within a luxury hospitality environment, preferably with exposure to private dining or buyouts.
- Proven ability to support event sales and operational coordination, including private dining bookings and restaurant event execution within an upscale setting.
- Basic understanding of Forbes 5-Star standards and luxury guest service expectations.
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of CRM and reservation systems, with working knowledge of BEO preparation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with a structured approach to task management, demonstrating attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professionalism, emotional intelligence, and a guest-centric mindset; able to remain composed under pressure and escalate issues appropriately.
- Passion for hospitality, food and beverage, and creating memorable guest experiences.
