Role Overview

Contracts Specialist at Guidepoint, based in Dubai at the DIFC. This role reports to the Associate General Counsel and serves as the main point of contact between the legal team and internal/external stakeholders regarding all contract management.

Role Purpose

Serve as the primary point of contact between the legal team and internal/external stakeholders for all aspects of contract management, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts across the global organization.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation

  • Draft, review and negotiate all types of contracts, including client and vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, contract amendments and renewals, Statements of Work, data processing agreements, and SaaS agreements for global stakeholders in various company locations
  • Review, edit, interpret and negotiate legal agreements
  • Review and negotiate corporate master services agreements
  • Ensure contractual drafting and review is always consistent with compliance practices

Contract Management & Administration

  • Manage Contracts Queue and coordinate all aspects of contract management
  • Manage Contract Template library and other knowledge management functions
  • Ensure compliance with contract approval policies and procedures

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as primary contact between the legal department and internal and external stakeholders seeking contract review and revision, copies, questions, and status updates
  • Review, respond and manage contracts-related questions within the Contracts inbox
  • Liaise with Legal, Compliance, and Sales teams on contracts as needed

Special Projects

  • Execute special projects on an as-needed basis

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years' experience working with contracts
  • Law Degree is a plus, but not required
  • Contract management experience, preferably in-house
  • Experience reviewing, editing, interpreting and negotiating legal agreements
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating corporate master services agreements

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and communications skills with ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks and projects, and track and follow up on projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with internal and external contacts at all levels, including across various offices
  • Ability to digest complex compliance practices and ensure consistency in contractual work
  • Ability to work independently and seek assistance or support as necessary
  • Ability to shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, and take initiative while meeting deadlines and providing timely responses
  • Strong client service focus and flexibility
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion and integrity
  • Apttus/Conga (Salesforce) contracts management system experience is very helpful
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other data protection laws and experience negotiating data processing agreements
  • Knowledge of legal developments in AI and how to incorporate them into contracts
