Role Overview

Consultant of Maternal & Fetal Medicine at Taiba Hospital. Grade C, reporting to Head of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Job Code: OBGYN-001.

Role Purpose

Lead the management of high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal–fetal conditions with advanced expertise. Deliver cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic interventions that improve outcomes for mother and fetus, and elevate patient outcomes through early detection and targeted therapy.

Key Responsibilities

High-Risk Pregnancy Management

• Lead high-risk pregnancy care from diagnosis to delivery with expert clinical oversight.
• Elevate patient outcomes through early detection and targeted therapy.

Diagnostics & Procedures

• Perform advanced diagnostics including ultrasound, amniocentesis, CVS, and invasive fetal procedures.
• Deliver cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Clinical Consultations & Guidance

• Provide specialist consultations guiding patients, families, and clinical colleagues through complex cases.
• Respond to emergencies and act decisively in critical maternal or fetal situations.

Collaboration & Team Leadership

• Lead multidisciplinary collaboration across obstetrics, neonatology, and allied specialties.
• Drive collaboration to unite obstetric, neonatal, and multidisciplinary teams around shared care plans.

Quality & Standards

• Advance practice by contributing to quality initiatives and protocol development.
• Uphold standards by ensuring compliance with Taiba protocols, MOH regulations, and ethical best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• 9 or more years of post-qualification experience managing high-risk pregnancies.
• Medical degree and specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• PhD, Doctorate, Membership, Fellowship, or Board Certification from USA, Canada, UK, Germany, GCC, or equivalent.
• Advanced certification or fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• Proven expertise in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic fetal procedures.
