Consultant ENT Surgeon

Role Overview

Consultant ENT Surgeon at Astra ProMed, Dubai. Full-time position providing comprehensive otolaryngology care, including diagnosis and surgical management of ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Role Purpose

Deliver expert otolaryngology services to adult and pediatric patients through diagnosis, clinical consultation, and surgical intervention across the full spectrum of ENT conditions, while collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists and maintaining compliance with UAE healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Diagnosis & Assessment

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of adult and, where applicable, pediatric ENT conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive ENT consultations and clinical examinations.
• Evaluate and manage chronic ear disease, hearing-related conditions, nasal obstruction, sinus disease, and throat disorders.
• Provide consultations and second opinions for complex ENT cases.

Surgical Procedures

• Perform elective and emergency ENT surgical procedures within the scope of practice.
• Perform appropriate endoscopic, microscopic, and minimally invasive ENT procedures where qualified.
• Provide surgical management of tonsillar and adenoid disease, nasal and sinus conditions, and other relevant ENT disorders.

Patient Management & Counseling

• Manage conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, sinuses, and head and neck.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care and follow-up.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.

Collaboration & Governance

• Collaborate with audiologists, radiologists, speech therapists, anesthesiologists, oncologists, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicable.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology / ENT, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirements.
• Additional fellowship or advanced training in a relevant ENT subspecialty is highly desirable.
• Eligible for or holding a valid DHA Consultant license/eligibility in the relevant specialty.
• Demonstrated experience in ENT diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures.
