Role Overview

Consultant Critical Care & Pulmonologist at Astra ProMed, Dubai. Full-time position.

Role Purpose

Provide comprehensive pulmonary and critical care services to manage complex respiratory conditions and critically ill patients within an intensive care setting, while contributing to multidisciplinary patient management and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Diagnosis and Management

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including complex pulmonary diseases.
• Provide specialist care for critically ill patients in intensive care settings.
• Manage respiratory failure, sepsis, ARDS, and other critical care emergencies.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures

• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopy, and other relevant diagnostic procedures, where qualified.
• Oversee mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and other respiratory support therapies.

Patient Monitoring and Follow-up

• Monitor treatment response, manage complications, and provide follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.

Collaboration and Education

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, and other specialists.
• Contribute to clinical education, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualifications in Pulmonology, Critical Care, or a relevant combined specialty.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience at Consultant level.
• Valid DHA eligibility or license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of pulmonary medicine and intensive care management.
