Role Overview

Consultant - Anaesthesia at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA).

Role Purpose

Provide safe and effective anaesthesia care across a wide range of surgical and medical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care Delivery

• Administer anaesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
• Assess patients' medical history and develop individualized anaesthesia care plans.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anaesthesia administration.
• Manage pain control and post-operative care.

Emergency & Critical Care

• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care support.

Collaboration & Professional Practice

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and international standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous education.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Completion of a recognized residency in Anaesthesiology.
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Anaesthesia.
• Valid medical license to practice.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a tertiary care hospital.
