Compliance Risk Analyst at Citi, United Arab Emirates. UAE Nationals only.
Company Overview
Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) within Citi, responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protects the franchise.
Role Purpose
Establish internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation. Design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protects the franchise. Partner with ICRM product and function coverage teams to develop and apply Compliance Risk Management program solutions that meet business and customer needs consistent with the Citi program framework.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Delivery
- Assist senior staff in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance programs, policies, practices, and standards for ICRM.
- Coordinate and track policy, training, and other initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation, editing and maintenance of Compliance program related materials.
Regulatory & Compliance Review
- Participate in the review of materials to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements.
- Assist in the management of the regulatory inventory, regulatory change management process and regulatory exam coordination and logistics as required.
- Work with more senior staff in responding to compliance inquiries.
Documentation & Reporting
- Help compile and maintain compliance documentation.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of reports for control, tracking, and analysis purposes.
- Ensure appropriate and secure retention of documents.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Interact and collaborate with other areas within ICRM and Citi as necessary.
Risk Management & Governance
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Adhere to Policy and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
- Escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.
General
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree a plus.
- Experience in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.
- Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies.
- Some knowledge of area of focus.
