Role Overview
Complex Director of Revenue for the Mina Seyahi Complex in Dubai at Marriott. This role leads revenue strategy across the complex, driving hotel profitability through pricing, forecasting, inventory optimization, and demand management.
Role Purpose
Lead revenue strategy for the Mina Seyahi Complex, driving hotel profitability through pricing, forecasting, inventory optimization, and demand management. Partner with hotel leadership and commercial teams to maximize revenue performance and achieve financial objectives across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Planning
- Determine sales strategy, evaluate effectiveness and prepare historical and future analysis of revenue and profit opportunities.
- Establish and maintain effective dynamic and rational pricing strategies for rooms and function space.
- Develop and execute the hotel strategic plans.
- Establish long-range objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Develop 6-month, 12-month and 2-year strategic action plans for management of property room and catering revenues.
- Update market knowledge and align strategies and approaches accordingly.
- Explore opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation; challenge existing processes, systems and products to make improvements.
- Think creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new business plans.
Pricing & Inventory Management
- Monitor the annual pricing process for transient, group and catering rooms, and function space.
- Manage room authorizations, rates and restrictions.
- Verify that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
- Check distribution channels regularly for hotel positioning, information accuracy and competitor positioning.
Sales & Commercial Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing for business opportunities and aim to increase profitability of the organization.
- Prepare sales strategy meeting agenda, monitor preparation of supporting documentation and lead property meetings.
- Serve as a demand expert for team members, GMs and regional stakeholders.
Systems & Tools
- Utilize brand revenue management systems and tools to ensure that revenue and profit are maximized.
- Verify that property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits.
- Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data and process information.
Quality Assurance & Validation
- Perform regular quality checks to verify strategies are implemented correctly and producing desired results, ensuring any gaps are identified and addressed.
- Assist with account diagnostics process and validate conclusions.
Forecasting & Analysis
- Actively participate in weekly and long-range forecasts.
- Compile information, analyze and monitor actual sales against projected sales.
- Prepare forecasts of revenue, profit, demand and occupancy for rooms for prescribed timeframes.
- Prepare revenue and profit opportunity analysis.
- Prepare budgets for transient, group and catering.
- Analyze period end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods and obstacles to achieving goals.
- Identify underlying principles, reasons or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Reporting & Communication
- Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
- Provide revenue analysis functional expertise and leadership to general managers, property leadership teams and sales leaders.
- Develop and manage internal and external key stakeholder relationships.
- Provide targeted and timely communication of results, achievements and challenges to all stakeholders.
- Inform and update executives, peers and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
- Develop strong partnerships and relationships with regional team members to successfully achieve regional goals and priorities.
- Participate in quarterly regional reviews.
Leadership & Governance
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocate sound financial and business decision making; demonstrate honesty and integrity; lead by example.
- Attend meetings to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate and manage activities and solutions.

Human Resources Management
- Interview and hire employees with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation.
- Develop, implement and maintain a departmental orientation program for employees to receive appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
- Use all available on-the-job training tools for employees.
- Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position and monitor progress.
- Conduct employee performance appraisals according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees and verify employees do the same within the team.
- Solicit feedback, utilize an open-door policy and review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems and concerns on a continuous basis.
- Verify regular ongoing communication is happening in all areas of responsibility to create awareness of business objectives and communicate expectations, recognize performance and produce desired business results.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in a relevant business discipline preferred or demonstration of equivalent work experience.
