Role Overview
Cluster Visual Merchandiser at Apparel Group. The role manages visual merchandising across multiple stores for one or more brands, creating visually appealing displays that showcase merchandise, enhance shopping experience, and drive sales.
Role Purpose
To create compelling visual displays and arrangements that reflect brand identity and presentation standards across multiple locations. Through understanding of design principles, consumer behavior, and brand aesthetics, you will maintain consistent visual merchandising execution, manage store layouts, and contribute to achieving commercial sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Image & Display Standards
- Monitor stock levels and replenish displays as needed to maintain a visually appealing environment.
- Ensure brand identity and presentation standards are achieved consistently in windows and in-store by creating eye-catching displays that incorporate commercial sales opportunities.
- Implement brand-specific visual merchandising standards.
- Coordinate store displays in line with brand guidelines and strategy.
- Develop floor plans and maximize visual impact.
- Regularly inspect and maintain displays, fixtures, and signage to ensure they are in good condition.
- Take photographs of every change made to merchandise displays.
- Rotate window displays regularly to reflect seasonal changes, promotions, or new arrivals.
- Create store layouts according to merchandise categories.
- Maximize placement of new lines and re-merchandise the store when new trends emerge.
Operations & Commercial Execution
- Work with VM Manager and sales team to achieve commercial goals.
- Work within budget constraints to source and acquire display materials, props, and signage.
- Train store staff on visual merchandising standards and ensure their understanding and implementation.
- Collect, review, and gather feedback on merchandise.
- Conduct research of current market trends and lifestyle.
- Involve in pre-opening of stores and conduct timely visits to ensure brand standards are properly implemented and followed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Three to five years of experience in a retail environment with strong emphasis on visual merchandising.
- Solid background in store operations and customer behavior.
- Proven experience in independently designing and setting up displays.
- Experience executing planograms and maintaining store aesthetics.
- Proven track record in leading visual merchandising initiatives and adapting to brand guidelines.
