Role Overview

Clinic Support Assistant at NMC Healthcare. This role provides essential administrative and operational support within a clinical environment.

Role Purpose

Support the smooth operation of clinic services by maintaining patient files, managing documentation, coordinating information flow, and demonstrating commitment to patient care excellence and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Documentation

  • Assemble and prepare patient files.
  • Complete forms attached to file, especially insurance approval forms prior to consultation.
  • Maintain and respect confidentiality for patient, physician, and personnel information.

Patient Care & Support

  • Demonstrate respect, compassion, and cultural sensitivity to patients, families, and other hospital employees.
  • Advocate for excellence in patient care and patient rights.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients, families, and other health care team members to ensure work is carried out smoothly.

Professional Standards & Development

  • Be a role model in exemplary behavior professionally and personally to ensure no criticism of nursing administration.
  • Assume responsibility for own actions, decisions, and behaviors.
  • Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.
  • Demonstrate initiative in the performance of duties requiring a minimum amount of supervision or guidance.
  • Develop and utilize professional collegial networking.

Organizational Support

  • Participate in the organization's quality improvement and safety activities.
  • Carry out work within general policies and goals, seeking direction only for guidance on policy issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been acquired.
