CHIEF OFFICER

Role Overview

Chief Officer position with NMDC Group. This is an on-board maritime role.

Role Purpose

Oversee vessel operations, safety, and crew management across navigation, cargo handling, and deck operations during sea passage and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Navigation & Watch

• Stand navigational watch as the officer in charge.
• Manage sea passage and project operations.

Cargo & Ballast Operations

• Supervise loading and offloading of the vessel.
• Supervise related ballast operations.

Deck Operations

• Supervise deck anchor handling operations.
• Plan and supervise works for deck crew.

Safety & Compliance

• Act as safety officer on board the vessel.
• Manage and maintain responsibility for safety equipment.

Administrative & Logistics

• Maintain the medical log.
• Carry out inventory.
• Supervise the work of catering staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma.
• Officer of Watch Unlimited Master certificate (II/2).
• Minimum of 3 years as First Officer on board anchor handling tugs.

Skills & Competencies

• Good English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of safe practices related to anchor handling and towing operations.
