CHIEF OFFICER

Role Overview

Chief Officer position with NMDC Group based on a vessel. The role involves deck operations, safety, and crew supervision during sea passage and project operations.

Role Purpose

Oversee all deck operations, vessel loading and offloading, navigational watch responsibilities, safety compliance, and crew management to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

Vessel Operations

• Supervise loading and offloading of the vessel and related ballast operations.
• Stand navigational watch as the officer in charge.
• Oversee sea passage and project operation activities.

Deck Operations

• Supervise deck anchor handling operations.
• Plan and supervise works for deck crew.

Safety & Compliance

• Act as safety officer on board the vessel.
• Maintain responsibility for safety equipment.
• Maintain the medical log and carry out inventory.

Crew Management

• Supervise the work of catering staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma.
• Officer of Watch Unlimited Master certificate (II/2).
• Minimum of 3 years as First Officer on board anchor handling tugs.

Skills & Competencies

• Good English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of safe practices related to anchor handling and towing operations.
