CHIEF OFFICER - SDPO

Role Overview

Chief Officer - SDPO (Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer) with NMDC Group, responsible for operating and maintaining Dynamic Positioning systems on assigned vessels.

Role Purpose

Operate, maintain, and oversee all Dynamic Positioning systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient vessel operations. Supervise junior DP personnel and ensure full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Operate DP system according to operational requirements.
• Manage continual on-duty scheme in the DP control room.
• Carry out setup of DP system operating parameters.
• Ensure all DP system data are recorded.

Maintenance & Inspection

• Assist in performing maintenance on DP equipment.
• Carry out frequent inspection on DP system sensors, computers and references.

Compliance & Training

• Implement IMCA requirements related to DP system.
• Ensure the JDPO is well trained and capable of handling DP system.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma.
• Full and unlimited DP certificates.
• Minimum of 4 years experience on DP vessels.

Skills & Competencies

• Good English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of safe practices related to DP operation.
