Role Purpose
Lead the day-to-day kitchen operation of a designated kitchen outlet in a large luxury resort environment. Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and guest experience while managing operational performance and the culinary team in close collaboration with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
- Lead the day-to-day kitchen operation and ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Manage food costs, kitchen supplies and other operational costs within the kitchen.
- Maintain high culinary standards and ensure compliance with IHG brand standards.
Food Safety & Standards
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, health and safety requirements are consistently followed.
- Maintain a strong focus on food quality, consistency, cost control and guest satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build strong working relationships within the culinary team and across departments.
- Support the development, training and performance of the culinary team.
- Demonstrate good leadership, organisation and communication skills.
Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef on menus, promotions and culinary activities.
- Contribute to annual plans, budgets and initiatives that support the success of the outlet.
- Understand guest expectations and ensure the team delivers quality and consistency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant culinary experience.
- Previous kitchen operations experience, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Strong culinary knowledge with the ability to lead a busy kitchen operation.
