Role Purpose
To conduct and manage recreational activities, resale operations, and morale and welfare events at service locations, ensuring both shifts and all service members have access to programs, entertainment, and retail services while maintaining facility standards and supporting visiting entertainers.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Management
- Maintain all MWR facilities in a clean, sanitary, healthy, and professional manner free of dust, dirt, debris, clutter, and trash.
- Verify all supplies necessary to enjoy complimentary items are properly stocked.
Resale & Cashier Operations
- Provide cashier services as part of resale and retail operations.
- Handle resale requirements including alcohol sales.
Recreational Activities & Programming
- Conduct weekly events including bingo, Texas Hold'em, foosball, dominoes, spades, bid whiz, karaoke, pizza night, pool, ping pong, and video game tournaments.
- Develop and run tournaments.
- Host activities and events twice on scheduled days at each service location so both shifts can participate.
- Be knowledgeable of regulations and rules of play regarding all weekly recreational activities and tournaments hosted within the facilities.
Guest Services
- Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Provide information about upcoming trips, tours, and events.
- Conduct check-in and check-out of games.
- Count customers.
- Ensure complimentary consumable items such as popcorn are provided to customers at all times.
- Play movies for guests.
- Decorate for holidays.
Event Programming & Enhancement
- Provide food giveaways such as complimentary pizza, subs, and donuts to enhance scheduled programs.
Special Events & Entertainer Support
- Host MWR special events.
- Organize events including marketing, setup and teardown of equipment and decorations, and audiovisual support.
- Arrange for reservation of a staging area for entertainers.
- Arrange and provide transportation to include qualified licensed drivers and vehicles of entertainers (estimated maximum of 20) between point of arrival and the base and during their stay on base.
- Escort entertainers to and from events.
- Provide labor and supervision to support events as required.
General Duties
- Perform other related duties needed or required to support the mission.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to operate a vehicle with manual transmission.
- Valid U.S. Passport preferred.

Additional Information
Security & Clearance
- Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Deployment Requirements
- Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, including vaccination for COVID-19 as outlined in Paragraph 1.A. of the USCENTCOM JAN 22 MOD SIXTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for UAE.
Environmental & Physical Demands
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
Travel
- 100% travel; position is in deployed location.
