CABLE LAYING SUPERVISOR

Role Overview

Cable Laying Supervisor at NMDC Group. The role involves onsite supervision of high-voltage cable loading operations in both onshore and offshore environments.

Role Purpose

To supervise and coordinate 230 and 115kV cable loading operations between vessels, ensuring safety compliance, operational efficiency, and adherence to approved procedures while managing equipment operators and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Supervision

• Supervise onsite operations of 230 and 115kV cable loading from one vessel to another.
• Supervise setup of cable loading equipment on onshore and vessel deck locations.
• Ensure effective and efficient execution of assigned tasks.
• Ensure operations are conducted as per approved procedures and drawings.

Safety & Compliance

• Monitor and ensure safety aspects of cable loading operations are fulfilled.
• Conduct toolbox talks.

Planning & Coordination

• Involve in planning and preparation activities related to cable loading operations.
• Communicate with loading equipment operators, crane operators, and other parties involved.

Work Environment

• Work onshore and offshore as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10–12 years of relevant experience.
• Solid experience in handling, loading, and installation of large-size submarine cables.
• Valid BOSIET (OPITO Approved) certification.
• Valid H2S training.
• Valid medical certification for working offshore.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read and understand procedures and drawings.
• Good communication skills.
