Role Overview
B&W Demand Planning Assistant Manager at Unilever. This role focuses on demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning for the Skin Care Category, combining forecasting expertise with cross-functional stakeholder management.
Role Purpose
Demonstrate mastery of demand planning and S&OP to create a central, unbiased, accurate forecast aligned with business units. Ensure all cross-functional inputs feed the business forecast using new tools and systems, while managing stakeholders and leveraging data analytics to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly S&OP Cycle
- Lead the entire Monthly S&OP cycle for Skin Care Category.
- Execute long-term and short-term forecasting.
- Align business targets and growth ambitions.
- Conduct multiple forecasting drivers' analysis.
- Compose total demand forecast.
Weekly S&OE Cycle
- Lead the entire Weekly S&OE cycle for Skin Care Category.
- Analyse customer order data.
- Highlight gaps and opportunities.
- Provide timely feedback for recovery.
Forecasting and Systems
- Set up and adjust the forecast baseline through FEU.
- Execute S&OP and S&OE through Kinaxis.
- Analyse various KPIs and monitor actuals and forecast through Kinaxis data analysis module.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Analyse category-specific KPIs on a monthly basis.
- Correct gaps in upcoming cycles.
- Report KPI data at SCLT and global monthly forums.
Portfolio and SKU Optimization
- Simplify the portfolio with the optimum number of SKUs.
- Lead quarterly SKU Rationalization activity.
- Drive higher volume-value growth.
Distributor Management
- Monitor Distributors' OS&R against target.
- Identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage Distributors' SLOB.
- Highlight slow-moving and non-moving stocks to the business.
- Support appropriate actions for disposal.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years' experience in Supply Chain; FMCG experience preferable.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced planning skills and hands-on experience with Kinaxis and FEU.
- Understanding of forecasting methods, preferably knowledge of Machine Learning-based forecasting.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Stakeholder management.
- Data analytics.
