Role Overview

Business Development Manager - Personal Finance (Outsourced) at ADIB, based in Dubai and Northern Emirates.

Role Purpose

Manage a team to achieve overall responsibilities while projecting ADIB's image and increasing the bank's visibility in the Financial Market. Develop new strategies for the business in the respective area and build suitable plans to increase business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Target Management & Performance

  • Ensure that set targets are met or exceeded on time.
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of IFEs and ensure appropriate business management and control are in place.
  • Coach team on day-to-day business activities and guide them to achieve monthly goals.
  • Update leads status on time; ensure status updates are completed before leaving your desk for the day.

Compliance & Policy Adherence

  • Ensure the team fully adheres to ADIB policy and procedure on day-to-day business management.
  • Ensure business proposed and booked is under ADIB policy and procedure with Sharia compliance.
  • Review and recommend standard credit applications and ensure authenticity of critical documents (MRF, identification documents, bank statements, etc.).
  • Ensure disbursement files are in order prior to forwarding to RFO by cross-checking customer's original documents against copies; files must be sent to RFO immediately or within the next one working day.

Team Management & Development

  • Ensure adequate leave planning for the team and execute the same effectively.
  • Ensure daily attendance; if there is regular absenteeism, escalate to SM.
  • Motivate high achievers by recognizing them in team meetings and provide opportunities to other staff to grab top positions by creating healthy inter-team competition.
  • Recognize staff training requirements while evaluating their monthly performance.
  • Arrange IFE training and coaching based on recognized areas of weakness and maintain track; escalate to SM if improvement is hopeless.
  • Recommend disciplinary action for those showing no improvements.
  • Conduct annual appraisals and recommend staff recognition.
  • Ensure all IFEs are aware of ADIB products, policies, and promotions; keep them updated on changes.

Stakeholder & Business Development

  • Open business channels for IFEs by visiting potential employers and high net worth customers and introducing them to IFEs.
  • Visit two ministries, departments, or listed companies and provide Business Visit Reports to SM.
  • Handle customer complaints directly; do not allow IFEs to handle complaints directly at any point.
  • Support SM on Al Khair STL, Settlement, Clearance, and STL based on calls.

Handover & Documentation

  • Ensure proper handover of all customer-related files and documents prior to staff's departure, resignation, or termination and arrange proper follow-up and closing of each case.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferably a graduate; Diploma or High School qualification acceptable based on work experience and exposure.
  • Minimum four years of banking experience.
  • Minimum two years in a supervisory or team leading role preferred, with exception possible if proven consistent top performance.

Skills & Competencies

  • Familiarity with Core Banking and Application sourcing systems.
  • Outlook, Email, and HR system exposure.
