Role Purpose
To ensure the successful design, programming, installation, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems that meet project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements while maintaining rigorous technical documentation and quality control throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Design Review & Technical Validation
- Review and validate BMS and ELV shop drawings, control schematics, device layouts, and riser diagrams.
- Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and integration requirements.
- Identify technical risks, value engineering opportunities, and coordinate clarifications with consultants and internal teams.
System Programming & Configuration
- Program BMS controllers and devices across HVAC, lighting, energy management, and third-party systems.
- Develop and implement control logic, alarms, sequences of operation, and time schedules.
- Ensure systems meet performance requirements, interoperability protocols including BACnet and Modbus, and cybersecurity standards.
Graphics & HMI Development
- Design and deploy operator interface graphics, including real-time dashboards, alarms, and navigation systems.
- Ensure the graphical user interface reflects site architecture and functional zoning accurately.
Installation Oversight & Site Coordination
- Supervise installation activities related to BMS panels, cabling, and field device integration.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, electrical teams, and equipment vendors to ensure proper execution.
- Conduct routine site visits to verify workmanship and ensure alignment with approved drawings.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Lead I/O point checks, functional performance tests, and system validation.
- Troubleshoot and rectify issues during the commissioning phase.
- Prepare and deliver system demonstrations, training sessions, and final handover documentation.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare all required technical documentation, including method statements, test reports, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.
- Maintain accurate logs, commissioning reports, daily site progress updates, and compliance checklists.
- Ensure all documents are formatted and submitted in line with project and client standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
- Working experience as a Project Engineer.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and quality.
