Role Purpose

To provide safe, effective aesthetic and laser treatments to clients while maintaining strict adherence to Dubai Health Authority protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety requirements. The role combines direct client care with equipment operation, treatment planning, and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Client Assessment & Treatment Planning

• Conduct thorough skin screening and assessment with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
• Assess clients' skin conditions and medical histories to determine suitable treatments.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and provide clear explanations of procedures.
• Ensure patient informed consent is obtained and provide the patient with a copy of safety instructions.

Aesthetic Treatments

• Administer a variety of aesthetic treatments such as facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and advanced aesthetic procedures.
• Use advanced techniques and products to achieve optimal results.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clients feel comfortable and well-informed.

Laser Operations & Safety

• Operate laser equipment safely following standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a safe environment and area during laser operation.
• Perform laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and other laser-based treatments following Dubai Health Authority protocols.
• Ensure reflective surfaces are covered adequately to avoid unintended laser reflections.
• Ensure safe operation of laser equipment and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Attend laser safety training sessions as determined by the hazard classification of the laser.
• Perform laser treatments only as per certification, competency, licensing, and outlined duties.

Client Monitoring & Adjustment

• Monitor clients' responses to treatments and adjust procedures as necessary.

Safety & Incident Reporting

• Report to the Supervisor immediately when a change in condition or practices may lead to potential hazards.
• Report potential exposure incidents and accidents to the Supervisor and the Employee Health nurse.

Hygiene & Environment

• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in treatment areas.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming environment in the clinic.

Client Relations & Communication

• Handle client inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Build rapport with clients and provide a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Administrative & Operational

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and treatment logs.
• Handle appointment schedules and follow-up skin screening and assessment.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.

Professional Development

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in beauty and laser technologies.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with team members to share best practices and improve service quality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Beauty Therapy or related field.
• Completion of an accredited laser technician program.
• Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Beauty Therapist or Laser Technician in a luxury hospital or clinic setting.
• Additional certifications in advanced aesthetic treatments preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of laser technologies and aesthetic treatments.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards.
• Fluent ability to speak and write in English.
• Ability to speak and write in Arabic preferred.
• Communication skills to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide a comfortable and welcoming environment.
• Time Management skills to oversee appointments and treatments to minimize wait times and maximize productivity.
• Problem-Solving skills to quickly and effectively address any issues or complications that arise during treatments.
