AVP - Operation Support Services

Role Overview

Assistant Vice President – Operations Support Services at Emirates Flight Catering. This senior leadership role is based at Emirates Flight Catering operations and reports to the Vice President – Operations.

Role Purpose

Lead the strategy and transformation agenda for Operations Support Services, working across the business to enhance efficiency, safety, service delivery and customer experience through digitalisation, automation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Transformation

• Set and execute the Support Services strategy across airside operations and flight preparation.
• Lead major digitalisation, automation and operational excellence initiatives.
• Lead organisational change and embed new ways of working across complex operational environments.
• Challenge traditional ways of working and harness digitalisation and automation to drive transformation at scale.

Operations Management

• Transform galley load planning, equipment inventory and catering order distribution processes.
• Drive greater efficiency and accuracy across operational administration, communication and billing processes.
• Strengthen safety, compliance and risk management through technology and improved processes.

Data & Analytics

• Use data and advanced analytics to drive operational and strategic decision-making.
• Leverage technology, automation and data to improve operational performance.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Build strong relationships with airline customers, internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Lead and develop a high-performing senior team while creating a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Build digital capability and support leadership development across the operation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years' experience in operations management, including leadership experience within airline catering operations.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale operational transformation and digital integration programmes.
• Strong knowledge of safety, compliance and quality requirements within airline catering or a comparable operational environment.

• Commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting and resource optimization.
• Strong people leadership and change management capability.
• Ability to influence, engage and collaborate with senior stakeholders and airline customers.
• Experience using technology, automation and data to improve operational performance.

Additional Information

• Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certification would be advantageous.
