Role Overview

Assistant Vice President, Compliance I at Orient Insurance PJSC, a leading insurance provider within the Al Futtaim Group, based in Dubai. This role supports the VP of Compliance in ensuring organizational adherence to regulatory requirements with primary focus on health insurance compliance and Dubai Health Authority and Abu Dhabi Department of Health regulations.

Role Purpose

To maintain the organization's compliance framework and manage regulatory risk across health insurance operations by reviewing insurance products and processes, overseeing third-party compliance risks, monitoring regulatory developments, and supporting the VP of Compliance in implementing compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Health Insurance Product & Process Compliance

• Review and assess health insurance products, policy terms, underwriting processes, enrollment procedures, claims handling, pre-authorization, reimbursement mechanisms, and complaint management for full regulatory compliance

Third-Party Risk Management

• Oversee compliance risks associated with provider networks, insurance brokers, outsourcing partners, and third-party administrators through due diligence, contract review, service level verification, data access controls, and audit rights management

Regulatory Monitoring & Updates

• Monitor and stay current with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, regulatory circulars, and official notices issued by relevant health authorities

Compliance Framework Support

• Support the VP of Compliance in implementing and monitoring the overall compliance framework and assist with additional compliance matters as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong knowledge of health insurance regulatory requirements, particularly Dubai Health Authority and Abu Dhabi Department of Health regulations
• Demonstrated experience in compliance management, regulatory risk assessment, and compliance program implementation

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent analytical and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
