Associate Quality Inspector (E&I)

Role Overview

Associate Quality Inspector (E&I) at McDermott, based on project location.

Role Purpose

Support the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector team in executing inspection and quality control activities to verify product and service conformity to customer specifications, drawings, and approved quality plans through independent inspections, surveillance, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Conformity Assessment

• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in determining product conformity to customer specifications through independent inspections, daily surveillances, and tests by the Project Quality Plan.
• Appraise product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance with approved drawings and inspection & test plans.
• Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution.

Documentation & Corrective Action

• Document all inspection results.
• Raise documentation to establish corrective action when non-conformity exists.

Field Operations & Coordination

• Perform field inspections by project specifications and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan/ITPs.
• Coordinate the interface with operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing, personnel, and subcontractor, assuring conformity to project specifications.

Compliance & Audit

• Confirm adherence to applicable procedures and plans by effective audit and surveillance.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study.
• 2+ years of quality control or discipline-related experience in Inspection.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient with computers and Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
