Role Overview

Associate Engineer, Electrical at KBR. This is an entry-level engineering position.

Role Purpose

Study, design, and specify electrical and electronic systems under direct supervision, applying basic engineering principles to power generation, transmission, distribution, control systems, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Specification

• Develop specifications for electrical and electronic systems including power generation, transmission and distribution systems.
• Design power systems performance and control systems.
• Specify cabling, wiring, and motor control centers.
• Design lighting systems.
• Specify communications systems.
• Design cathodic protection systems.
• Specify grounding and lightning protection systems.
• Design heat tracing systems.

Engineering Support

• Perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.
• Use judgment in making selections and adaptation of engineering alternatives.
• Perform specific and well-defined assignments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Certification as an Engineer-in-Training is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
• Application of engineering principles.
