Associate Banker (UAE Nationals Only)

Role Overview

Associate Banker 2 at Citi, located in the UAE. This role is for UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose

Develop professional banking expertise by applying specialized knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze and evaluate processes and data in private client coverage. Support Bankers in revenue generation, client acquisition, relationship deepening, and compliance while building working knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Acquisition

• Assist the Banker in creating sales and marketing strategies designed to generate revenue growth and acquire new target clients, with a focus on Investments.
• Assist the Banker with prospecting by conducting new client and prospect research, generating leads, developing prospects, networking to identify referrals, and coordinating client events.
• Assist the Banker in profiling, qualifying and converting prospects into Citi Private Bank clients.

Client Relationship Management

• Organize pre-call planning, post-meeting notes, and maintain all client call records including call reports.
• Assist the Banker in deepening existing client relationships through deep-dive analysis.
• Provide complete service support to clients, including solving complex client inquiries.

Reporting & Administration

• Provide accurate and timely revenue tracking, deal pipeline reports and other relevant information to the Banker.
• Provide day-to-day support to Banker on documentation including account opening and closing, loan disbursals, and related transactions.

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure appropriate documentation related to KYC and AML from the client.
• Ensure all aspects of client records and documentation are completed and updated.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to Policy, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.

Qualifications & Experience

• 0–2 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of investments is required; banking and credit products desirable.
• Bachelor's degree or University degree or equivalent experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to manage relationships both internal and external.
• Ability to multi-task.
• AMFI certification preferred.
• NFSI certification preferred.
