Role Purpose
The Warehouse Assistant plays a key role in the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring that products are properly received, stored, and dispatched. The role involves assisting with inventory control, preparing and processing orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Inspection
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments.
Inventory Management
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits.
Order Processing
- Prepare and process orders for delivery or pickup.
Warehouse Operations
- Load and unload shipments and products.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Support the warehouse team in various tasks as needed.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inventory procedures and warehouse management.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Ability to work well in a team.
