Assistant Store Manager

Role Overview

Assistant Store Manager at Apparel Group. This role provides end-to-end store leadership in the Store Manager's absence and supports efficient, profitable store operations in accordance with company policy.

Role Purpose

To ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered by retail staff, maximize sales and loyalty program engagement, maintain brand standards, and assist the Store Manager in the efficient and profitable operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Ensure retail staff provide the highest levels of customer service to maximize sales.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to effectively respond to and anticipate customer needs.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to maximize loyalty and repeat sales.
• Maintain awareness of new products, trends, and fashion directives at all times.
• Build knowledge of various brands within the group for suggestive selling to customers.

Store Operations & Management

• Assist the Store Manager in the efficient and profitable operation of the store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assume end-to-end store responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Implement operating procedures at the store as per company standards.
• Manage the daily roster, leave, and grievances of retail staff.
• Regularly audit store administration and resolve any issues identified.

Brand Standards & Compliance

• Ensure the brand and company policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff at all times.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards at all times as per set VM standards.
• Be fashionable and well-groomed to model brand expectations.
• Ensure awareness and vigilance of store security at all times without negligence.

Feedback & Communication

• Provide feedback to the Store Manager and Area Manager regarding employees and products.

Additional Information

• Must be physically fit to stand for extended hours and lift heavy items.
