Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil) at AtkinsRéalis. This position supervises the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of 132 kV and above substations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedule commitments.

Role Purpose
The Assistant Resident Engineer ensures the safe, compliant, and timely construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage substations by supervising activities on site, monitoring technical compliance, coordinating with stakeholders, and resolving construction and technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Monitoring
- Supervise construction and installation activities for AIS/GIS substations (132 kV and above).
- Monitor the erection of transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, isolators, protection panels, SCADA, and associated equipment.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities and review test reports.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and HSE requirements.
- Maintain quality and safety standards throughout construction and installation.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and project teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues at site.
Reporting & Progress Management
- Monitor project progress and prepare site reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8–15 years of experience in substation projects with significant exposure to 132 kV and above substations.
- Experience in AIS/GIS substations, testing and commissioning, and construction supervision.
- Preferred experience on EPC, Utility, Consulting, or Owner's Engineer projects involving 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, or higher voltage substations.
