Role Overview

Assistant Operator - Finishing Machine at Al Ghurair.

Role Purpose

Support the operation and maintenance of finishing equipment including bindery, stitching, folding, sewing, and die-cutting machines, while ensuring quality output and safe equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operations

• Assist in setting up finishing machines such as Kolbus binders, Muller Martini stitching, folding, sewing, and die-cutting, pasting, and bag fabrication units.
• Prepare materials and align components for production runs.
• Support lead operators during job changeovers.

Maintenance & Equipment Care

• Clean rollers, trays, and cutting blades.
• Support lubrication and minor adjustments under supervision.
• Report wear, misfeeds, or breakdowns to the foreman promptly.

Quality Control

• Conduct visual checks for binding strength, stitching alignment, fold precision, and die-cut accuracy.

Material Handling & Coordination

• Assist in stacking, counting, and transferring finished goods.
• Coordinate with foreman, operator, and packing teams for smooth handover.
