Role Overview
Assistant Manager - Parking Services at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport.
Company Overview
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. Facilities include multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
Role Purpose
Support the day-to-day management of parking operations across valet, self-parking, and shuttle services while maintaining Forbes Five-Star service standards and ensuring efficient, safe vehicle movement during peak guest arrival and departure periods.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Assist in managing day-to-day parking operations, including valet, self-parking, and shuttle services.
- Monitor parking occupancy, traffic flow, and space utilization to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor valet staging, key control, vehicle retrieval times, driveway congestion, queue management, and team positioning to ensure service remains proactive, safe, and efficient.
- Support the maintenance and functionality of parking equipment and systems.
- Prepare shift reports, incident logs, and assist with data collection for operational analysis.
Supervision & Scheduling
- Supervise and schedule parking staff, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to service standards.
- Lead and support Valet Supervisors during peak arrival and departure periods to maintain efficient vehicle movement, accurate ticket control, and a polished guest-facing presence.
- Assist in training new staff and conducting performance evaluations.
- Coach Valet Supervisors and Attendants on driveway etiquette, vehicle handling standards, guest recognition, luggage coordination, radio communication, and Forbes Five-Star service behaviors.
Guest Service & Recovery
- Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Support guest recovery situations related to valet delays, vehicle concerns, lost tickets, special handling requests, and service defects, ensuring timely communication and professional resolution.
Compliance & Safety
- Conduct regular inspections of parking areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper signage.
- Enforce parking policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Quality & Analysis
- Ensure qualitative Forbes Five Star standards are delivered.
- Review valet reports, vehicle movement records, incident documentation, guest claims, and system updates to identify trends, service gaps, and operational improvement opportunities.
Cross-Departmental Coordination
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Security, Engineering, Front Office) to ensure seamless service delivery.
Finance & Procurement
- Support the Manager in budgeting, procurement, and vendor management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2β3 years of experience in parking operations or guest services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Previous experience supervising valet operations, vehicle movements, key control, traffic flow, and high-volume guest arrival and departure areas strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with parking management systems and basic reporting tools.
- Knowledge of valet operating systems, vehicle tracking processes, incident reporting, radio communication, and guest claim handling procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
