Role Overview

Architect at AtkinsRealis. Site-based position responsible for supervision of Contractor's architectural and interior design works throughout the construction phase.

Role Purpose

To supervise and manage all architectural and interior design works on site, ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards, coordinate with other disciplines, and maintain comprehensive site documentation and reporting throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Inspection

• Supervise the Contractor's architectural and interior design works on site.
• Inspect Contractor works to verify compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Witness field tests and review comments on material submittals concerning constructability as support to the Architect of Record.
• Review as-built drawings.

Submittals & Documentation

• Review and comment on submittals from the Contractor.
• Forward submittals to the concerned designer for response.
• Obtain samples and quotations when required.
• Ensure satisfactory management and control of inward and outbound documentation.

Reporting & Quality

• Review and authorize inspector's daily reports.
• Prepare weekly reports for your section and provide relevant input to the monthly project report.
• Prepare reports and recommendations.
• Report Quality Non-Conformances and assist in closing out the same.

Safety & Compliance

• Report safety violations to the HSE Manager during site inspections.

Coordination & Relationship Management

• Coordinate all architectural and interior design works with other disciplines.
• Coordinate and manage the technical input of other disciplines during the construction stage.
• Work with the project site team.
• Develop and build client relationships.
• Supervise the work of other team members.

Quality & Standards

• Prepare project-specific quality plans and record and implement essential coordination issues in accordance with Atkins quality procedures.
• Interpret project specifications, client requirements and constructability requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Architecture.
• Experience in a variety of building types and sectors including multi-residential, leisure, hotels, retail, offices, and mixed-use developments.
• Desirable Middle East experience.

Skills & Competencies

• AutoCAD competency; able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Able to interpret project specifications, client requirements and constructability requirements.
• Good interpersonal skills, telephone skills and customer focus.
• Creative, energetic and self-motivated.
• Able to work as a member of a multicultural team and contribute to team performance.
