Role Overview
Analyst, Group Strategic Investments at ADNOC, supporting mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals, and capital market transactions across the ADNOC group at headquarters and group company level.
Role Purpose
Support the Manager and Senior Manager with execution of individual workstreams related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals, equity and debt capital market transactions, and other strategic investments across the ADNOC group. Maintain an adequate investment governance framework, ensure project execution adheres to relevant processes and guidelines, and support delivery of performance scorecard.
Key Responsibilities
Significant Investments
- Conduct modelling and analysis activities in support of execution-stage deals.
- Provide wide-ranging support during corporate transactions, including financial modelling, due diligence, and value creation workstreams.
- Support the Manager and Senior Manager in drafting investment stream documentation, detailed placement memorandums, and service tender efforts.
- Support preparation of relevant marketing materials.
Investment Governance
- Present and provide advice regarding financial models to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all finalized project and deal financial models are internally consistent and quality assured in line with the Group Economic Evaluation Guidelines.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal and external members of deal execution teams, acting as a focal point for operational deal-related matters including gathering information and scheduling meetings.
Supervision
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable proficiency and deliver business objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of function, division, department, and section budgets.
- Assist in implementation of approved budgets and work plans to deliver business objectives.
- Investigate and highlight significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved function, division, department, and section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures in support of work program execution in line with company and international standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management
- Contribute to achievement of approved performance objectives for the function, division, department, and section in line with the company performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices to achieve greater efficiency in line with best industry standards and define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare management information systems and progress reports for company management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial modelling, mergers and acquisitions, commercial or trading, business development, or capital markets.
- CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.

Internal stakeholders include Chief Investment Officer, Senior Vice President Group Strategic Investments, Vice President Group Strategic Investments, Finance & Investment Leadership, and other directorates or units as required.
External stakeholders include potential shareholders and partners, local and international vendors, contractors and third-party service providers, and relevant governmental organisations and entities.
