Role Purpose

Establish and oversee enterprise-wide governance frameworks for data, artificial intelligence, and privacy to ensure the organization leverages data and AI capabilities while maintaining regulatory compliance, ethical standards, and risk management across all business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Data and AI Governance

• Develop and implement comprehensive data governance and AI governance frameworks aligned with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Drive responsible and trustworthy AI adoption across the organization, including oversight of generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics initiatives.
• Manage AI and data risk assessments, particularly for applications in underwriting, claims, finance, reinsurance, and customer service functions.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Serve as the second-line governance authority, ensuring compliance with privacy obligations, ethical standards, and enterprise risk management principles.
• Oversee privacy compliance programs and act as the organizational subject matter expert on data protection and information governance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in data governance, AI governance, or privacy compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
• Subject matter expertise in data management, privacy law, and emerging AI technologies.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, AI risk frameworks, and responsible innovation principles.
• Demonstrated ability to develop governance policies and frameworks and lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
