ACCOUNTANT

Role Overview

Accountant at Napco National. The role monitors daily accounts transactions to ensure all related activities are properly carried out in accordance with FCA policy guidelines.

Role Purpose

Control and maintain the integrity of general accounts in compliance with FCA and standard accounting practices, while ensuring proper checks and balances across all treasury and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounts Management

• Control and maintain the integrity of general accounts in compliance with FCA and standard accounting practices.
• Maintain a monthly trial balance audit file to confirm all balances are accurate.
• Monitor daily accounts transactions to ensure all related activities are properly carried out as per FCA policy guidelines.

Cash and Treasury Operations

• Check the activities of the Cashier when needed for checks and balances.
• Check treasury activities including accounting for money transfers, bank charges and remittances to the Company.
• Run accounts payable and payroll checks.
• Hold responsibility for bank deposits.
• Coordinate and arrange processing of all wire transfers and telex payments.
• Ensure integrity of treasury activities before submitting to Chief General Accountant.

Reconciliation and Audit

• Perform monthly bank and affiliate reconciliations and adjust irregularities.
• Conduct audits to ensure that internal control procedures are well implemented.
• Recommend and follow up on corrective measures.

Administrative and Compliance

• Ensure proper filing and follow up on all subsidy applications and refunds.
• Prepare the monthly fixed asset acquisition report and relay it to Accounting Manager for approval.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role.

Internal stakeholders: All Accounting Team.

External stakeholders: All company affiliates and Banks.
