Role Overview

Account Director, Digital Natives for the MENA region at OpenAI, based in the UAE. This role operates on a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.

The Go To Market (GTM) team is responsible for helping customers learn how to leverage and deploy OpenAI's highly capable AI products across their business. The GTM team comprises Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnership professionals working together to create valuable solutions that bring AI to as many users as possible.

Role Purpose

You will be a key driver of opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from pipeline generation to closure, helping customers understand the deep impact that highly capable AI models can bring to their business and users. This role combines technical understanding, vision, partnership, and value-driven strategy to evolve industries with AI.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

• Manage approximately a dozen key accounts, developing and executing strategies for a comprehensive account plan.
• Lead enterprise prospects' journeys from consideration to successful deployment.
• Work directly with c-level executives.

Revenue & Forecasting

• Own a consumption revenue target.
• Manage consumption revenue forecasts.

Strategy & Partnership

• Partner with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex customer programs and projects.
• Design and execute complex deal strategies.
• Collaborate with solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering.

Market & Insights

• Analyse key account metrics to create reports and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Closely monitor the industry landscape (people, competitors, partners) to contribute to product roadmap and other corporate strategies.
• Gather, distil, and process complex market intelligence (industry, competitor, customer, prospect).

Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead high-visibility customer events (CAB, conferences, product launches).
• Communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.

Team & Culture

• Support the recruitment and onboarding of other teammates.
• Support the development of company culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–7+ years selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service in the UAE.
• Achieving revenue targets >$1M per year for more than 3 years.
• Experience supporting the growth of fast-growing, high-performance companies.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical understanding and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Customer-centric mindset with ability to build strong relationships with executives and professionals across functions and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Passion or deep curiosity in artificial intelligence.
• Builder mentality with excitement to impact how the company operates and scales; passion for building strong systems and processes from the ground up and executing them with precision.
• Comfort with new challenges; willingness to solve bespoke issues requiring multidimensional knowledge and experiment with new solutions.
• Strategic thinking with deep understanding of go-to-market best practices; ability to think and plan forward on the order of years and bring internal and external stakeholders along with strategy.
