Role Overview
Access Control Officer at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport.
Company Overview
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. Amenities include multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
Role Purpose
Support the Surveillance team in delivering the perfect guest experience by managing access control operations, administering security systems, and coordinating with cross-departmental teams to ensure secure and efficient access to resort facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Access Control Operations
- Manage daily access control desk operations, including approved access request processing, credential issuance, encoding, updates, deactivation, temporary passes, and access group assignment.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping in accordance with approved access control procedures.
- Verify identity, approvals, authorization levels, access level requirements, and supporting documentation before issuing or modifying access.
- Administer user profiles, access levels, schedules, readers, alarms, access events, and related system records within Genetec and approved security platforms.
- Monitor door status, alarms, access events, reader activity, card validity, access permissions, and system alerts.
- Escalate faults, unusual activity, lost or found cards, and urgent access concerns promptly.
- Assist with initial system checks, door status verification, alarm checks, reader testing, access group validation, and functionality checks before escalation where required.
- Review access logs, exception reports, and system activity to support investigations, audits, management reporting, and access review requirements.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records and complete clear shift handovers to ensure pending access matters are recorded, followed up, and communicated.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Security, IT, P&C, Facilities, contractors, and system integrators to resolve access-related matters.
- Protect confidential security information during all coordination activities.
Cross-Department Support
- Support Security divisions during operational requirements, investigations, emergencies, special events, training, and access control awareness activities.
- Provide clear guidance to users on access procedures, card usage, lost card reporting, and access request requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 1β3 years' experience in security operations, access control administration, facilities operations, customer service, or a similar operational environment (required).
- Certificate or diploma in Security, Business Administration, Facilities Management, IT, or a related field (preferred).
- Training in Genetec, access control, credential management, or security systems (preferred).
- Practical experience with Genetec, access control administration, credential encoding, visitor management, key management systems, ANPR System, CCTV, alarm monitoring, BMS, audits, reporting, and confidential security records (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of access control operations, including cardholder profiles, credentials, access levels, access groups, schedules, temporary access, and access removal.
- Ability to apply access control levels by matching approved access to the correct individual, department, role, area, door group, schedule, and authorization level.
- Working knowledge of Genetec, credential management, key management, visitor management, alarms, door events, access logs, and basic troubleshooting and escalation processes.
- Knowledge of credential encoding processes, including assignment, activation, replacement, validity testing, and alignment with approved access profiles.
- Ability to review access requests carefully, identify missing approvals or incorrect access levels, and escalate exceptions before access is assigned.
- Knowledge of ANPR systems used to identify vehicles, validate approved vehicle access, support barrier and gate access control, and assist with vehicle movement records when required.
- Ability to generate and review system reports, including access logs, vehicle access records, alarm and event reports, user activity reports, and shift handover records, to support investigations, audits, management review, and confidential security reporting.
