3RD ENGINEER

Role Overview

Third Engineer position at NMDC Group.

Key Responsibilities

Engine Room Operations

• Maintain all machinery and equipment in the engine room.
• Monitor engine performance and operational parameters.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and auxiliary equipment.
• Keep detailed logs of engine room activities and machinery status.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all maritime safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures.
• Report hazards and maintain a safe working environment.

Maintenance & Repairs

• Execute repairs and replacements of engine room components as required.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Coordinate with the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer on maintenance schedules.

Technical Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Document fuel consumption and machinery performance data.
• Ensure all engine room logs are complete and properly filed.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of diesel engine operation and marine engineering systems.
• Proficiency in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a confined environment.
