Role Overview

X-Ray Aide – General Radiology at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC).

Role Purpose

Provide administrative and clinical support to the General Radiology department, facilitating patient flow, assisting with procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring a clean, organized working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Preparation and Support

• Prepare patients for treatment, including lifting patients.
• Act as chaperone to female patients for male technicians.
• Contact patients to confirm appointments.
• Assist with appointments as required.

Administrative Support

• Maintain internal schedules.
• Coordinate administrative support.
• Undertake follow-up actions for meeting coordination.
• Input data into the system.
• Modify and maintain databases related to departmental activities as assigned.
• Prepare worksheets and charts as directed.

Equipment and Environment

• Check equipment and report faults.
• Maintain stock of consumable items.
• Ensure the working environment is clean and hygienic.

Procedures and Compliance

• Assist with procedures such as biopsies.
• Ensure confidentiality of all sensitive information, including patients' information.
• Ensure continuous quality improvement and compliance with patient care standards.
• Comply with regulations related to mentoring, training, and development of UAE national staff.
• Perform any other work as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Diploma or equivalent in any field.
• Demonstration of relevant experience.

Desired

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field.
• Experience in a large healthcare facility.

Additional Information

• Shift work, including night duty.
