Role Overview
Writer Reporter at Emrb.
Role Purpose
Develop, research, and deliver news articles, featured stories, and reports that comply with Group editorial policy. Create compelling narratives combining writing, voice-over, and multimedia elements to inform audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development
- Develop articles and featured stories in compliance with Group's editorial policy and guidelines
- Propose ideas to be covered from the field in coordination with team, including news, stories, and features
- Develop creative ideas through combination of illustration, maps, and graphics with the story
Research & Verification
- Gather information and opinions for stories
- Verify information accuracy before publication
Writing & Production
- Write scripts only after viewing the video available
- Write and record voice-over (LVO) for assigned stories and breaking news
- Work, review, edit, and deliver assigned stories and reports as directed by producers
Team Support
- Advise or coach fellow colleagues as required
