Role Overview
Writer Reporter at Emrb.
Role Purpose
Gather, verify, and present news stories and reports through writing, voice recording, and creative visual presentation, while supporting the broader editorial team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Research
- Gather information and opinions for stories and verify information accuracy.
- Propose ideas for coverage from the field including news, stories, and features in coordination with the team.
Content Production
- Work, review, edit, and deliver assigned stories and reports as directed by producers.
- Write and record voice-over (LVO) for assigned stories and breaking news.
- Develop creative ideas for final news presentation through a combination of illustration, maps, and graphics paired with the story.
- Write scripts after reviewing available video content.
Team Support
- Advise or coach fellow colleagues as required.
