Workshop Technician

Role Overview

Workshop Technician at Miral Destinations. This role ensures smooth and efficient operation of the Miral Experiences Leisure Facilities in the Technical Services Rides Department, directly impacting the maintenance of rides, facilities and attractions.

Role Purpose

This position provides all necessary maintenance required for preserving and improving the physical functionality, safety and appearance of all workshop equipment, elevated work platforms, and other assets.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Operations

• Perform daily checks, start-ups, and closing procedures on all workshop equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on fabrication and modification equipment.
• Support rides team and operations with maintenance requirements.
• Ensure availability of equipment at all times to enable smooth department operation.
• Support annual rehab activities of the rides.
• Respond to and resolve downtime calls on workshop equipment and assets.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain safe workplace conditions for all colleagues and guests.
• Ensure all equipment and workplace are safe for occupancy.
• Actively participate in safe housekeeping as a team member.
• Report and inform Team Leaders of issues and concerns affecting safe operation of equipment.
• Provide feedback on assigned tasks and work execution when safety concerns exist.

Maintenance Documentation & Accountability

• Complete all preventive maintenance checklists and submit to Team Leader on time.
• Ensure corrective maintenance is performed thoroughly and prevent recurrence.
• Take ownership of tasks assigned by Team Leader and complete them.
• Report on work completion in a timely manner.

Development & Engagement

• Attend briefing, training and development programs for personal growth.
• Act as a team player in executing tasks and taking responsibility.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Education in Technical School, Training Institute, or related technical qualification.
• 2+ years of experience performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of air compressor systems, including Atlas Copco, Kaeser, air dryers, receivers, and pneumatic equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation of facility assets.
• Experience troubleshooting and solving equipment issues.
• Safe handling of tools and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Expert proficiency in at least one of the following fields: Electrical or Mechanical.

Desirable

• 4+ years of experience in maintenance field in theme park or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication and tools.
• Experience reading drawings, schematic diagrams, hydraulic drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.

• Basic English speaking and writing abilities.
