Role Overview
Workfront Engineer at Samsung E&A. This role is based on-site at a project location and requires hands-on construction expertise combined with advanced work packaging management.

Role Purpose
Develop, manage and optimize Construction Work Packages (CWP) by identifying and resolving engineering, procurement and construction constraints, managing schedules, monitoring workfront status using 3D modeling tools, and identifying and managing site hold points through field management and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
CWP Planning and Development
- Develop Construction Work Package plans based on Construction Work Area Proof of Concept priorities.
- Consider resource allocation, scheduling and budgeting factors when developing CWP plans.
Constraint Management
- Identify engineering, procurement and construction constraints using constraint identification processes and tools.
- Resolve identified constraints using established resolution processes and tools.
Schedule Management
- Manage target schedules for Construction Work Packages using target schedule management processes and tools.
Monitoring and Visualization
- Use 3D modeling tools (UPV) and simulation tools (UG Navigator) to monitor Construction Work Package and Construction Work Area status.
Hold Point Management
- Use FMCS-based Hold Point identification and management processes and tools to identify and manage Site Hold Points for Installation Work Packages.
Workfront Execution
- Ensure actual workfronts are secured and managed using established workfront securing and management processes and tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) in any branch. IT, Computer Science or Data Mining related majors or equivalent experience preferred.
- Hands-on construction experience and background as a supervisor or engineer.
- Petrochemical EPC field experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of EPC and Advanced Work Packaging (CWP, EWP, IWP, TWP).
- Experience with 3D model review tools such as Navis Work and UPV.
- Experience with SECL legacy systems (EDWP, FMCS, S-AWP).
- Proficiency in Power BI.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH and Data Tables.
