Role Overview

Workface Planner - Mechanical and Steel Structure at Samsung E&A. This role supports planning and coordination of mechanical and steel structure installation activities on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.

Role Purpose

Develop, schedule, and coordinate Installation Work Packages (IWP) and Construction Volume (CV) schedules at ISO-level standards, working with subcontractors to issue packages, track progress, and ensure accurate field execution of mechanical and steel structure installation work.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop Construction Volume (CV) and Installation Work Package (IWP) schedules to ISO standards.
• Issue Installation Work Package (IWP) to subcontractors.
• Check the Installation Work Package (IWP) schedule and inform superintendent or site in-charge equivalent.
• Modify, review, or adjust Installation Work Package (IWP) as necessary.
• Check construction volume with superintendent or site in-charge equivalent and create three-dimensional volume files.

Monitoring & Progress Tracking

• Monitor Installation Work Package (IWP) progress on MS Power BI.
• Track Installation Work Package (IWP) progress against schedule.
• Communicate with supervisor and subcontractor for each IWP status update.

Quality & Completeness

• Review Installation Work Package (IWP) for completeness and accuracy.
• Check prerequisites of piping work including Local Foundation, Local Platform, and Structure.
• Coordinate Installation Work Package (IWP) execution with field supervision.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years Mechanical Construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years planning experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Data Tables.
• Ability to understand and utilize 3D model review tools such as Naviswork and UPV.
• Understanding of MS Power BI tool.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Problem solving and conflict resolution capability.
