Role Overview
Women's Health Psychologist at Taiba Hospital, reporting to the Women's Health Integrated Care Center. Job Code: WH-002, Grade: A3.
Role Purpose
Deliver evidence-based psychological counseling and mental health support to women across the lifespan within an integrated care model. Partner with OB/GYN, midwifery, and specialist teams to embed mental health interventions in holistic women's health pathways and promote early engagement with psychological care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Delivery
- Deliver individual and group therapy using tailored cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, or supportive counseling for women across the lifespan, including perinatal, menopausal, and chronic-illness presentations.
- Conduct mental health assessments and diagnostics using validated psychological assessment tools to evaluate mental health status and formulate treatment plans.
- Monitor outcomes and adjust care plans by tracking progress via standardized measures and refining therapy approaches based on data and patient feedback.
Integrated Care & Collaboration
- Collaborate in integrated care by working alongside OB/GYNs, midwives, and other specialists to embed mental health interventions in holistic care pathways.
- Facilitate seamless referral completion, with a target of ≥ 75% of referrals from OB/GYN or Women's Health teams being completed.
Education & Awareness
- Develop psychoeducation resources including workshops and materials on stress management, postpartum adjustment, and self-care strategies.
- Promote mental health awareness by leading department huddles and community outreach to destigmatize psychological support and encourage early engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with license or eligibility required.
- 3+ years' experience in women's health, perinatal, or integrated care settings.
- Proficiency with psychological assessment tools and EMR documentation.
