Role Purpose

Provide comprehensive administration, monitoring, and support of Microsoft Windows server infrastructure for a leading Bank in Qatar. Ensure system availability, performance, and security across critical enterprise technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Server Administration & Monitoring

• Execute day-to-day administration of Microsoft Windows servers.
• Monitor critical servers including Exchange, Blackberry, Domain Controllers, and MOSS to verify proper functioning.
• Check disk usage and critical alerts on all monitored systems.
• Install Windows on physical servers as required.

Maintenance & Patching

• Conduct periodic maintenance of servers including restarts and upgrades.
• Periodically update Windows patches and harden Windows servers according to schedule.

Blackberry & Exchange Management

• Configure Blackberry devices for senior management and troubleshoot Blackberry device issues.
• Configure Exchange mailboxes, including quota increases and rights management.

Technical Support & Issue Resolution

• Proactively take ownership and resolve technical issues to closure.
• Assist the application team with infrastructure-related issues.
• Provide support to Helpdesk and staff on server and server-related application issues.
• Be actively part of the team and provide assistance to other team members as required.
• Maintain sound technical knowledge on Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, ISA, TMG, MOSS, Blackberry, WSUS, SMS, SCCM, and stay current with technology growth.

Projects & Disaster Recovery

• Involve in project-related activities from the Microsoft Infrastructure side and ensure projects close and target dates are met.
• Implement Disaster Recovery solutions by implementing Double Take solution for physical servers.
• Test disaster recovery plans to meet recovery objectives.

Planning & Design

• Provide improvement plans for Microsoft technologies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Provide and review technical solutions and designs for new and existing projects and infrastructure.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5–10 years' experience with hands-on Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with Systems Centre Orchestrator.
• Excellent System Center skills (primary focus) with competency in other technologies including Active Directory and Exchange.

Skills & Competencies

• Windows Server OS: 2003, 2008 R2, 2012.
• ISA 2006/TMG.
• WSUS.
• SCCM.
• Blackberry.
• Windows Clustering and Windows Load Balancing on Windows 2003/2008.
• PowerShell.

Additional Information

• Joining timeframe: 2 weeks maximum 1 month.
• Selected candidate shall be employed by VAM Systems – Qatar and will be deputed to a leading Bank in Qatar.
• Available on call 24/7/365, which may include presence in office during late night hours or out of office hours.
