Role Overview

Warranty Estimator at Al Tayer Group, Dubai, UAE. The role prepares accurate and efficient estimation of all warranty jobs in accordance with Warranty Policy to ensure all warranty requirements are met for raising successful claims.

Role Purpose

Prepare accurate and efficient estimation of all warranty jobs as per Warranty Policy, ensuring that all warranty requirements have been met for raising successful claims.

Key Responsibilities

Warranty Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure all details required for warranty are available on the repair order form before estimating and costing the warranty repair and replacements.
• Ensure all documents required by Warranty are attached to the repair order.
• Report any un-claimable hours to Service Manager, with copy to Warranty Controller for suitable decision and advice.
• Return repair order to Quality Controller in case of any discrepancy, clearly noting the same in red ink on the front of the repair order under "Rectify following processes" stamp.

Costing & Invoicing

• Process costing reports as and when required by Service Manager, Warranty Controller, or Manager.
• Ensure all parts prices are correct and correct warranty account has been used before invoicing.
• Ensure all JLR Extended warranty repairs are invoiced after completion.
• Send the invoice to Warranty Controller for submission within two weeks from PAR approval.

Work in Progress Management

• Reduce Warranty WIP to the minimum.
• Clear out any pending warranty WIP in Autoline.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School or undergraduate qualification.
• Three to five years of experience in costing repair orders in an automotive franchise, preferably in Warranty department.
• Automobile Trade Certificate or equivalent with three to five years of experience working as Technician.

Skills & Competencies

• Working knowledge of PC.
• Accurate and efficient typing skill.
